Desperately seeking Lindsey,l5

Plea goes out for missing girl

By Gordon Clark, Staff Reporter

Lindsey Nicholls is a troubled kid who had run away before. But it has been nearly six months since she was last seen, and now her parents and an organization that finds missing children are desperately worried. They want the public's help to find the petite 15-year-old Comox girl. "Please, if anyone knows anything about this, we would like them to call us," Rhonda Morgan of the Missing Children Society of Canada said yesterday.

"We would really like to hear from somebody," said Morgan, who has worked on the case for months. "The Nicholls family needs some peace of mind. They have gone through five months of literal hell not knowing."

Lindsey was last seen near Comox Aug. 2 walking down a rural road at Cumberland, where she had been staying in a foster home.

She was in the home because of previous attempts at running away. The girl was dressed in blue jeans, khaki tank top, blue plaid shirt tied around her waist and white canvas runners. She had no money and has not contacted anyone. "We're worried she met with trouble," said Morgan. "it's not typical of the cases we see."

The girl, five feet, three inches tall, weighing 115 pounds, with blond hair and green eyes was angry with her parents for moving to Comox from Delta.

Anyone with Information on her whereabouts is urged to call police or the Missing Children Society of Canada at 1-800-661-6160.
